Repeal and saving

On 25th October 1980, the President of India promulgated a Forest (Conservation) Ordinance. The Forest (Conservation) Act that subsequently replaced the Ordinance is deemed to have come into force on the 25th of October 1980.
The Forest (Conservation) Ordinance, 1980 therefore stands repealed.

Anything done or any action taken under the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
